Come along, get building and see where your imagination takes you!

Our FREE, one-hour LEGO and DUPLO Club is for all ages, with LEGO and DUPLO available. No booking, no experience and no pressure — just turn up and have fun.

Build together as a family, get creative with friends, or simply enjoy some quiet, screen-free time to chill out and switch off. It’s a chance to unleash your creativity, connect with others and enjoy some time together.

♟️ Chess Club at Hillfields Library​

Love chess, or fancy learning how to play?

Come along to our fortnightly Chess Club, run by a friendly library volunteer. Whether you're a complete beginner or already enjoy a game, you're welcome to join in.

Never played before? No problem! The volunteer can explain the rules, give you some pointers and help you get started. More experienced players can simply enjoy a game and challenge others.

It's a relaxed, friendly session — a chance to play, learn and meet other chess players.

🎵 Baby Bounce & Storytime at Hillfields Library

A friendly, relaxed session for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups, delivered by our welcoming library staff.

Enjoy songs, rhymes and movement with your little ones. It’s a chance to get out of the house, have a bit of fun, meet other local families and enjoy some time together. And, of course, it’s a lovely way to get to know your local library too.
